Our Full Barrel Cabinet is made from a genuine oak wine barrel. It has one center shelf and a hinged door with a cinched metal closure. The removable hard maple top has two iron handles and you can take the top to the kitchen, prepare your food, and bring it back out to serve. What a great conversation piece! Materials:
Each piece is composed of recycled wood from white oak barrels common in wine production. The barrels are originally handmade and burnished to enhance certain flavors in the wine making process. This leads to uniquely shaped and colored staves of wood that are reused to create these stylish furniture pieces. The colors of the wood can also vary greatly depending on the variety of wine made in each particular barrel. After assembly of the furniture each piece is again stained and lacquered for a durable finish that will provide years of worry free enjoyment. A few of the larger pieces also use rough lumber, which is sanded by hand, leaving much of the wood's natural character for a more rustic finish.
