Captains Bookcase Bed can be set up with our innovative hook and rail
system to accommodate the optional 3 drawer Trundle bed, or the
optional 4 drawer under
bed storage chest that also includes a cabinet. Either choice will give
you oodles of storage space!
This fantastic
piece can also be set up low and accept our traditional
under bed storage drawers or trundle bed. Fast and easy set up makes
your job easier and gets the kiddo settled in as soon as possible.
This bed will
give you all the storage you need and is available in 3
of our high build 5 Step Finishes; White, our white finish is
absolutely opaque, you will not see any knot bleed through here because
of our 5 Step Finishing Process; Natural Maple, a warm natural tone
that compliments any style and Antique Walnut, a rich deep dark finish
that refines any room.
Our Five
Step Finishing Process
Each
product in our
entire line is finished with a high build, five step finishing process.
After a thorough sanding, (1) a wipe on sealer is applied. Once dry, a
tinted sealer (2) is applied to even the grain and color of the wood.
Next, another round of sanding before the first base color coat is
applied (3). More sanding and the second base color coat is applied
(4). Finally there is a final sanding and the finish coat is applied
(5).
This process
produces a long lasting and durable finish that will last for years.

Hook
& Pin Rail System
Our
innovative hook and pin system creates a strong, long lasting
connection between the headboard and foot board. Two metal pins are
embedded within the head and foot boards at two positions making it
easy
to switch from upper height to lower height. Set the bed high for use
with bed storage drawers or trundle bed or set it low for use with
mattress and foundation.
Constructed
of solid Eco-Friendly hardwood, our storage and platform beds can stand
the test of time. Each headboard and foot board we manufacture has the
ability to bolt directly to a metal bed frame with industry standard
fittings built right in.
The
photo to the right has been digitally enhanced to show detail and the
approximate location of the pins within the foot board. To set up your
bed, simply connect the rail to the headboard and foot board.
