For wine lovers who take great pleasure in serving fine wine to family and friends from the comfort of their own home, the Wine Country Collection includes dozens of pieces appropriate for the occasion. Whether it's the unique serving centers, wine bottle displays, or elegant side tables, this collection's pieces are all handmade from recycled white oak wine barrels. The staves of wood from the barrels each have their unique shapes and colors from the wine production process. The resulting one-of-a-kind furniture pieces have a casual appeal and yet are sophisticated enough to complement any décor.

Materials:

Each piece is composed of recycled wood from white oak barrels common in wine production. The barrels are originally handmade and burnished to enhance certain flavors in the wine making process. This leads to uniquely shaped and colored staves of wood that are reused to create these stylish furniture pieces. The colors of the wood can also vary greatly depending on the variety of wine made in each particular barrel. After assembly of the furniture each piece is again stained and lacquered for a durable finish that will provide years of worry free enjoyment. A few of the larger pieces also use rough lumber, which is sanded by hand, leaving much of the wood's natural character for a more rustic finish.
